Member Spotlight: Fraser MacDonald, Transport for London

Throughout 2022, we conducted a continuous members’ survey to discover which areas of tCI membership needed development. A huge area of development highlighted to us is the importance of connection between our members, encouraging shared learning and networking opportunities. After all, our members are from diverse backgrounds, and cross-sector learning is invaluable.

So, our Member Spotlight was born, designed to allow tCI members to ‘step into the spotlight’ and discuss their personal development as a consultation and engagement professional, including important lessons they have learned, career highlights, and success stories.

To kick this off, we spoke to longstanding tCI member, Fraser Macdonald, Transport for London’s Strategic Consultations Lead.

It was great to hear Fraser’s journey to Strategic Consultations Lead, and the challenges and barriers that his team regularly face when making decisions for all Londoners. The Institute finds great value in Fraser’s emphasis on the significance of easy accessibility and reaching seldom heard groups, and his drive to change and progress perceptions of TfL.
