Introducing Consultation Reflections: tCI’s latest webinar series!
The Institute is taking shared learning to a new level.
Our experience shows that professionals in consultation and engagement face common challenges and often find themselves in similar situations. Finding support and networking with those working in the same field can offer a new perspective and help overcome those challenges.
In tCI’s latest webinar series, we bring together clients in regular panel-led webinars to reflect on their projects or programmes. Topics are carefully selected to reflect the common challenges in the community.
In each session, panellists are encouraged to share what worked well and what didn’t, including any key issues and challenges faced along the way. We will explore how things could have been done differently during the discussion and invite the wider audience to share their own experiences.
The series offer a space to exchange information and knowledge and solve problems as we immerse ourselves in a shared learning experience. By signing up for Consultation Reflections, you will:
- Hear first-hand about good practice, approaches, techniques and tools
- Get tips and tricks on consultation processes on a case-by-case basis
- Network and share learning with fellow consultation and engagement professionals
Session 1: Unlocking your true potential – Upskilling the consultation and engagement team
Thursday 31st March, 11am – 12pm
We’ll be hearing from:
- Fraser MacDonald, Strategic Consultations Lead at Transport for London
- Bronagh Donnelly, Senior PPI Officer at Public Health Agency
The Institute has been receiving an increasing number of queries relating to training and development.
Organisations have reported the reallocation of key Communications & Engagement staff in 2020/21, the increase in the number of consultations undertaken and ‘learn on the job’ policy has eroded many organisations’ capabilities to conduct public engagement and consultation effectively.
In this session, we look at these issues by discussing the outcomes and current practice as a result of training, focusing on different aspects of consultation and engagement from courses such as best practice approaches to lawful consultation and practical equalities.
